Graduated from East China Politics and Law University, Mr. Xingkai Shen started working for the court in 1980, specializing in criminal trials for 30 years. Mr. Shen acted as the judge and presiding judge of the Shanghai High People’s Court, and as a member of the trial committee and dean of the criminal tribunal of the Shanghai 2nd Intermediate People’s Court.

Judge Shen has tried and directed the trials of many large and influential cases in Shanghai and China. His court was a model court visited and studied by delegations of foreign judges and lawyers, and the book Precedent Collection of Criminal Cases on which he acted as a deputy editor has been collected by the library of the Supreme People’s Court of PRC as a reserved book.

Mr. Shen has abundant experience in the trial of criminal cases as well as other types of cases due to his long-term work in the trial committee of the court.
