On July 16, 2010, Watson & Band assisted the Supreme People’s Court and Motion Picture Association of America to hold a seminar on the Cultural Innovation Industry and Judicial Protection of Copyright on the Internet in Zhou Zhuang.  The chief Judge Xiangjun Kong of the IP division of the Supreme People’s Court and judge Xiaobai Yu attended this seminar. The speakers at the seminar were professionals in the copyright field, including Mr. Mike Ellis, the president of the Motion Picture Association of America’s Asia-Pacific region. In the seminar, the speakers introduced the situation in relation to copyright infringement on the internet in each country and gave precedents from Europe, USA and Australia, which were highly commended by the participants in the seminar.
