Watson & Band held a seminar for Japanese enterprises with respect to Chinese labor law at its Shanghai office on June 24, 2010. Representatives from Japanese enterprises in fields such as the manufacturing and chemical industries attended the seminar. At the seminar, attorneys from Watson & Band gave examples and made presentations with respect to several hot topics which the representatives were interested in, such as labor dispatch, severance pay and compensation, and labor arbitration. In the Q&A session, the attorneys interacted with the representatives with respect to the various labor-related problems they had come across in practice. The representatives expressed great interest in and welcomed such kind of seminar. Watson & Band plans to hold more similar activities to satisfy the needs of the enterprises in the future.
